What Is SocialFi?

A plain-language definition of SocialFi and how EraX Digital uses the term.

SocialFi, short for social finance, describes products that combine social networking with digital ownership and payments. A person can publish, follow, and participate in a community, and selected economic actions can be authorized by a wallet rather than only by a platform account.

What the term does not mean here

In this documentation, SocialFi does not mean a token launch, a yield product, or a promise of income. It means a product direction: social software plus wallet-connected ownership and creator payments.

Why the distinction matters

Social actions such as reading a feed are different from financial actions such as approving a payment. EraX Digital's proposed design keeps that distinction visible to the user.
